Adhesive wear
Adhesive wear, also known as biting wear, refers to a form of wear where metal adheres to the contact surface of the friction pair during sliding friction. In the subsequent relative sliding, the adhered area is damaged, and metal chips are pulled off the surface of the part or the surface of the part is scratched.

Abrasive wear
The phenomenon where the surface material of an object is lost due to mutual friction between the object's surface and hard particles or hard protrusions (including hard metals) is called abrasive wear.

Fatigue wear
When the two mating surfaces of a friction pair undergo rolling or rolling and sliding compound motion, due to the effect of alternating contact stress, the surface material fatigue fractures, resulting in pitting or spalling. This phenomenon is called fatigue wear.

Corrosion and wear
Corrosion wear refers to the phenomenon of material loss caused by chemical or electrochemical reactions between the surface material of a friction pair and the surrounding medium during the relative sliding process, accompanied by mechanical action. This is called corrosion wear.

Fretting wear
Fretting wear refers to a type of composite wear caused by small-amplitude vibration between the surfaces of metals that are pressed against each other.
